Ride to Remember 9-11

The Blue Knights of Illinois Chapters XI & XV, in partnership with Oak Lawn Harley Owners Group are planning a memorial service  to remember the Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighters, as well as the thousands of others who lost their lives in the September 11th 2001 attack.  This would also be a good time to demonstrate our support and gratitude for to the Men & Women of the Armed Forces who have put themselves in harms way for our freedom.   This service is to take place on the second Sunday of September in Springfield. Illinois at the State Capitol Grounds.

There will be a motorcade leaving form the Hall's Harley Davidson, Sangamon and Dirksen Pkwy., (exit 100 B from I 55)  Springfield, Illinois, beginning at 9:30 A.M. The Memorial service will begin at the Memorial site at 10:00 A.M.

A Social gathering is also being planned for the evening before the memorial, and details will be posted in several places on this web site.

Hotels will be contacted and special discounted rates will be obtained for this event.  The Hotels & Prices will be posted on the "HOTELS" information page.

To offset the cost of this event, donations will be sought.  All the monies collected will be used for this event.  Pins, Patches & Window Decals to commemorate this event, will also be sold.    Any additional monies collected will be used to erect a permanent memorial for the 9-11 victims.
